Michelle Levene
Founder
Michelle has been in Early Years for over 30 years and owns her own childcare group (Jollytots in Borehamwood) and has an advisory children's consultancy service "With Chelley". She has a BA Hons in Child Psychology as well as a level 3 in Early Years and carries EYPS status. She successfully ran a Scout pack for over 15 years and therefore is very insistent about the children having outdoor fun in all weathers! She has four children and seven grandchildren. She is the backbone to the nursery and will oversee everything and offer advice and support throughout your journey. She is very hands on and out of hours is "only a phone call away".
Rachel Brahams
Founder and Office Manager
Rachel's eldest son attended Yeladenu Preschool which was previously based at Muswell Hill Synagogue. When Yeladenu announced it was closing in May 2024 she felt passionate about keeping a Jewish nursery open and joined Michelle to start Gan on the Hill. She previously worked in PR and before that was a broadcast journalist.
India Gee
Room Leader
India used to work at Yeladanu Preschool and began working at Gan On The Hill when it opened in September 2024. She has a degree in Sociology and is a qualified Level 3 Early Years practitioner. She took a sabbatcial in 2024 for 6 months and loves telling the children about her travelling adventures.
Eve Logan
Manager
Eve has a wealth of knowledge and experience in childcare and Early Years and has taught and lived in both the UK and Israel. She also spent some of her childhood in Spain, so is fluent in English, Ivrit and Spanish. She is very passionate about Judaism, Israel and all the Jewish festivals and bringing part of her Israeli culture to the nursery.
Rael Cohen
Head of security
Rael is SIA qualified and is in charge of security during nursery hours. He previously worked at Yeladenu as is stalwart of the nursery and loved by parents and children.
Grace Bunn
Apprentice
Grace is doing her Level 3 training with the Best Practice Network and lives locally in Friern Barnet. Grace loves babies (as well as older children) and is excited to embark on her career in childcare at Gan On The Hill.
Wendy Frankel
Educational Consultant and Teacher
Wendy is a qualified teacher (QTS) with a Montessori background (Mont Dip). She has almost 30 years experience working in early years education in a variety of roles. She is a former Nursery Lead and Early Years Coordinator at a top London pre-prep school where she gained valuable insights into the 4+ and 7+ assessment process. Wendy currently runs her own private tuition business, Smart Start Tutoring, specialising in 4+ and 7+ entrance exam tuition and school readiness support. She will be working with us as a consultant, implementing maths and literacy programmes for 2 to 4 year olds and supporting children to move onward to their reception year.
Havtam Gette-Selwyn
Apprentice
Havtam is doing her Level 3 Early Years training and is passionate about working with children and has a qualification in Children's Behaviour. She is a mother of two and has lived in the UK for the past five years after moving from Israel where she grew up. She is a fantasic cook and does cooking each week with the children as well as making Challah with them on a Thursday to take home for Shabbat.
Anne-Charlotte Labonde
Deputy Manager
Anne-Charlotte is passionate about pedagogy and giving young children the best start in life. Accomplished musician and painter, she is always looking for opportunities to use her creative background with the children! Fierce mental health advocate, she puts children's well-being at the top of her list.
